United Nations Vienna Office - 150 Years of Universal Postal Union (UPU) 2024

On the occasion of 150 Years of UPU, the United Nations celebrated it by issuing a single stamp  from its 3 offices in Geneva, New York and Vienna. 

The Vienna Office of United Nations issued a beautiful stamp showing an aeroplane flying over the globe, signifying one of the modern modes of mail delivery.; and undoubtedly the fastest and the most used mode of delivery in the present era.

The beautiful UN stamp has the blue and purple shaded background and is of 0.96 Euro denomination.

Although the stamp does not feature the official logo of the United Nation's UPU150 campaign; however the Vienna Office FDC shows the UPU150 logo in the cachet. Apparently the postmark features the flying pigeon, instead of the aeroplane ;-)
