On the event of 150th Anniversary of UPU, French Polynesia (Polynesie Francaise) issued an unconventional stamp and a souvenir sheet. It is unconventional in the context that it does not feature the official logo of UPU150 stamps campaign, and even does not match the colours of the theme. 

In fact, French Polynesia added an older stamp in the design, featuring 100 years of UPU - This the UPU150 stamp and the souvenir sheet also fall in the theme of "Stamp on Stamp".

At the bottom of the French Polynesia UPU150 stamp, you can see the words "150 ans de l'union Postale Universelle" or in English "150 Years of Universal Postal Union".

Japan (Nippon) - 150 Years of Universal Postal Union (UPU) 2024 #UPU150 #150UPU

Japan or Nippon issued a stamp sheet with 10 self-adhesive stamps on 150 Years of UPU. The denomination of each stamp is 110 Japanese Yen, thus making the total price to 1100 Japanese Yen or around US$7.36. The UPU150 stamp sheet from Japan for the 150th Anniversary of Universal Postal Union (UPU) has been released on 9 October 2024. 8 stamps features a colourful dove flying to deliver a letter.

Basically the sheet contains 6 different stamps. 2 stamps at the top show UPU monuments, while the 4 stamps at the bottom show a dove flying in the air, with an envelope in her beak. The bottom 4 stamps are duplicated on the sheet.

China - 150 Years of Universal Postal Union (UPU) 2024 #UPU150 #150UPU

China Post joined the other countries in celebrating 150th Anniversary of Universal Postal Union (UPU) on 9 October 2024. China issued an adorable odd-shaped stamp that is rectangular from right side and circular from the other side. I really don't know what this shape is called. ;-) The stamp shows a contoured silhouette of a dove flying to deliver a letter in the background, while in the foreground is the official #UPU150 logo.

The China UPU150 stamp has special security features to avoid misuse/ counterfeiting. This special printing is viewed under UV light only. This makes the China UPU stamp an unusual stamp as well.

Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republic of Srpska) issued a beautiful stamp to commemorate 150 Years of UPU on 9 October 2024. It's one of my favorite stamps from the #UPU150 set of stamps.

A Small Geography Lesson: Republika Srpska, also known as the Serb Republic, is one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the north and east of the country. Republika Srpska was formed as part of the Dayton Peace Accords in 1995, which joined it with the other entity, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is important to note that Republika Srpska is not the same as Serbia; it is a separate political sub-state entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina.

9 days before the World was planning to issue a omnibus set of common-theme stamps, Australia issued a set of 2 stamps to commemorate 150th Anniversary of UPU. The set of 2 stamps was issued by Austrlia Post on 1 October 2024.
